  1. Match report

After not playing for two weeks, the E2 was back in action today against local teammate ESV. The away game was the first game of the season and they won 4-0. Today, however, the first good chance was for ESV, but Pepijn was in the right place. It was searching in the early stages for PSV and because they were often too far away from the opponent, ESV even got a second chance. Also this time the finishing was too weak and Pepijn was able to intervene easily. It was time for action and it came. Sem, who was captain today, set a good example and after a good move he combined with Davy and headed for the goal. However, he comes up just a bit too short to finish well. ESV also sets up another attack, but the shot ends up in Pepijn's hands. Immediately after the game was restarted Arne got hold of the ball and found Davy. Davy thinks quickly and shoots the ball through the inside of the crossbar to make it 1-0. This goal did PSV good, because from that moment on they picked up the pace more energetically. From a nice attack via Davy, Arne shoots just wide. It still takes until the 12th minute before the 2-0 appears on the scoreboard. After a nice combination between Sem and Davy, Arne is found who finishes on goal, after which Davy gives a final touch. Moments later a typical Joey shot hits the post. ESV is out of the game and a minute later it is Davy who is blocked after a good action, but Sem who reacts attentively takes over and slides the 3-0 in. From now on it goes quickly. A corner kick by Joey reaches Arne in the back. He takes the ball beautifully and shoots in with his left. Where in the beginning of the season chances were sometimes missed, today they were very effective. Moments later another good action by Sem, who reached Arne but his shot went over. Just before half time a nice attack from behind. Rico opens to Joey, who rushes between two players and finds Jay on the right. His cross works Greg in like a true striker. 5-0 is also the score at halftime.
The first chance after the break is for Davy, who plays himself well. However, his lob lacks precision. It does not take long before it becomes 6-0. After a good rush on the right side, Jay finds Sem who scores in a controlled way. Moments later, Sem is the winner in a midfield duel and sees Greg who makes it 7-0 just in front of the goalkeeper. ESV's resistance is now completely gone and after a good combination with Sem, Greg makes it 8-0. There are still some nice actions and combinations. Joey and Davy hit the aluminum once more. In the end it becomes 12-1 in a game that is not really a game anymore (except for the first 10 minutes). Sem scores the 9-0 after a corner kick by Davy, after which ESV can do something back. Arne provides the 10-1 on Jay's lead, after a tip-top from Joey. The 11-1, a typical Davy goal finished with a lob from distance. The 12-1 falls after a brilliant action by Davy and through Sem, Greg can tap in the final goal.

Today was a game where there were plenty of nice actions, combinations and goals to be admired, but after the break there was no real resistance.
