  1. Match report

Today only Seb is still in the sickbay, and Ruben is sick, the rest of PSV U13 is fit to start the match against MVV. The match has been brought forward by an hour, because after this match 6 more players have to travel to Alkmaar to support the U14. Niek already left for Alkmaar this morning, so only 1 goalkeeper today. Bram from the U12 has been added to the U13 selection today.

At the start of the match it is immediately clear that PSV U13 wants to make it clear that there is nothing to get in Eindhoven today. Eagerly they head towards the Limburg goal. In the third minute it is Bram who attempts the first goal with a distance shot. 2 Minutes later it is Jaivy who tries with a shot, but the ball hits the post, Shijon is the most attentive of all and still manages to get the ball behind the goalkeeper, 1-0. In the 10 minute it is Milan who gets to take a corner, and you know with Jesper in the ranks it can always be dangerous, so the task is simple for Milan, find Jesper's head. No sooner said than done 2-0. In the 18 minute MVV's first feat a free kick about 20 meters in front of the PSV goal. But this is a simple catch for Kjell. In the 21st minute, Sven took a free kick about 25 metres from the MVV goal. What do you do then one line straight towards the goal 5 cm under the crossbar straight through the middle, the goalkeeper can still touch the ball, but the ball has so much speed that he can't punch it away, so the ball goes straight into the goal, 3- 0. So we go to rest as well, still the boys come in irritated, by comments along the side and on the field!!!! The coach makes it clear to the boys that they should not be irritated by this, but should concentrate on the game and have fun and play the ball. Later, even in a stadium it can be so that 50,000 people dislike you, but then you have achieved it?

In the 32 minute another corner, this time not the head of Jesper, but of Thijn, who can thus cheer up his comeback after several weeks of injury with a goal 4-0. 3 minutes later PSV showed a demonstration of how a positional game should be played. From back to front combining over many drives, the last pass is so good that Lars finds himself all alone in front of the goalkeeper. Lars stays calm and kicks the ball calmly past the goalkeeper 5-0.

In the 43 minute it is Matheo who comes through free from the side and lays a lovely tight cross at the first post. Jesper well up to the first post manages to head the ball crosswise at the 2nd post. Wonderfully executed goal 6-0. In the 55 minute a deserved penalty, the foul is clearly made a meter inside the 16 meters, but the referee puts it out anyway. I say to the coach who responds to this to the referee, "let it go" to which he clearly says no pingel is pingel, and of course he's right, even though it's 40 -0 the boys have fought to get there and are unfairly stopped, so it's a penalty. So a 6-0 win, and a size too big for MVV, no chance given away, played well but not brilliantly. But still clearly showing that they are doing things they are being taught every week. So they are clearly making strides. Next week at 11:00 am a cup game at home against Almere City, and the boys can try to advance a round in the cup tournament.
