In the first half, PSV was clearly the better team and got to 0-1 thanks to a rightly awarded penalty. However, due to inattention in the defense, NEC/FC Oss came alongside. This was also the score at halftime.

In the second half, PSV had continuous possession of the ball and NEC/FC Oss had to rely on their enormous effort and lurked on the counter. Yet PSV took the lead again and seemed to take the game to themselves. The match seemed decided, but NEC/FC Oss suddenly equalized from a nice free kick and PSV could start again.

The last 7 minutes still became incredibly exciting. PSV stepped up and was rewarded, a few minutes later it was 2-3 and in injury time it even became 2-4.
All in all a well deserved victory that was won with a good team mentality.
