  1. Match report

PSV needed 40 minutes in Rotterdam on Saturday to be woken up by Feyenoord, who dominated on effort, won the duels on ferocity and deservedly took the lead after PSV got away well in the 12th minute when the ball was left in front of the goal after a scrum in front of Mike's goal and could barely be cleared, in the 28th minute Feyenoord punished PSV's loss of the ball, followed by far too lax an effort on the edge of the box, with a well-placed shot into the far corner, 1-0.

PSV only had a single opportunity in the first half, when Amar rounded off a good individual move with a shot on goal that the Feyenoord keeper worked wide, however. PSV were unworthy after half an hour, and the team were lucky not to go into the break 2-0 down when the post saved a header from a short Feyenoord corner in the 35th minute.

PSV entered the 2nd half with an attitude that could certainly be expected of the team in a game like this, and that led to results fairly quickly. After fifteen minutes of play Leandro brought the ball from the left into the penalty area, where it was cleverly controlled with his back to goal by former Feyenoord player Joël, who immediately took advantage of the turn and shot the ball into the right corner, 1-1.

Less than 5 minutes later Robin had the chance to tip the game definitively and shoot in the 1-2 when he appeared unhindered in front of the Feyenoord keeper, but shot against him from close range. Nevertheless, it was ultimately Feyenoord that managed to decide the match in their favor. After a free kick by the Rotterdammers in the 62nd minute failed to hit the target through a forest of legs and after a bounce off the post, a few minutes later Feyenoord combined through the PSV center with childlike ease and the ball was shot low into the left corner via an Eindhoven leg, 2-1. The remaining 15 minutes were too short for PSV to make up for the 1st half.
