Last Saturday, PSV O.17 played the home match against Ajax O.17.
PSV started the match very strongly. PSV was lord and master and with fast combination play and good attacks PSV created the best chances. In the 21st min PSV was allowed to take a free kick on the edge of the penalty area.
Dante Rigo curled the ball over the wall into the short corner 1-0.
PSV could not enjoy the lead for long. Ajax also scored from a free kick 1-1.
PSV could not express the class difference in the 1st half in goals.
Half-time score 1-1.
In the 2nd half, PSV took the lead again in the 51st min. Kaan Tanriver was able to shoot the rebound from close range into the goal 2-1.
After this PSV became more sloppy and Ajax had a few opportunities to equalize.
But good goalkeeping by Lasse Mikkelsen kept it 2-1.
4 minutes before the end of the match Matthias Verreth decided the match. On a pass from Karim Bannani, he scored the liberating 3-1.
Final score 3-1.
Next week PSV O.17 will play the away match against Feyenoord O.17.
