    The Report

Final number three in the race to the bowl. FC Utrecht visit the Herdgang and to keep our dream - and also that of outgoing coach Geert Brusselers - alive, we are obliged to take the three points

We started strong and immediately put FC Utrecht under pressure. Within five minutes it is Cody Gakpo who converts a cross from Jordan Teze into a deserved lead. We were on top, but unfortunately could not convert this into more goals in the first half. Especially since the guests can only come to little danger in front of our goal in that first half.

After the break we have to pick up the thread and we want to increase the difference. After five minutes in the second half substitute Joey Konings was played the ball brilliantly by Justin and he popped the ball dry behind the FC Utrecht goalkeeper: 2-0. In the remainder of the second half we had some more opportunities to increase the lead, but there were no more goals. In the run-up to the meeting against Benfica in the UEFA Youth League a nice boost, especially because once again we kept the score zero. First up for the weekend is the game with Willem II, followed by the clash against Benfica on Tuesday, Feb. 21.
