  1. Match report

PSV started the match sharply, which produced a great chance to score after only three minutes. The NAC defense just managed to turn the ball into a corner. The corner was played through by Jesse and Milan van de Riet shot hard into the top corner, 1-0. Right after the opening goal PSV had another great opportunity to score but this one was not taken. PSV was on top and put NAC under pressure early on. NAC had no answer to PSV's play and hardly created any chances. Not until the 15th minute did the visitors have an opportunity to score. After a free kick, PSV's defense could not clear the ball. With an overhead kick, a NAC player tried to score but the ball went just wide. PSV continued unabated after that. It played strong and NAC was out of the game. In the 24th minute, PSV doubled their lead. With a deep ball, Nawaaz sent Milan van de Riet away. Milan rounded the NAC defender and shot into the far corner to make it 2-0. This was also the halftime score.

PSV showed from the start of the second half that there was nothing to be gained by the visitors today. In the 42nd minute, PSV scored again. After a quick attack through Martijn and Dyon the ball ended up in Ruben's hands. His cross at the far post was tapped in by Milan van de Riet, 3-0. PSV continued to play strong football. The organization was good and PSV dictated the game. In the 58th minute this resulted in another goal. A cross from Mohamed was tapped in by Gioele, 4-0, and one minute later it was Milan van de Riet who scored. His shot (or cross) was given a strange curve by a NAC defender and fell in at the far post, 5-0. NAC was played down and gasped at the end. PSV went looking for the next goal and that goal came two minutes before time. Deveron set up an attack on the left and played the ball to Mohamed. Mohamed played himself free and shot low from 18 meters, 6-0.

PSV played a fine game and there was nothing to detract from the big win. With this victory PSV has definitely qualified for the champions' pool after the winter break.
