    The report

After the tough Youth League match against Tottenham Hotspur, PSV O19 played against their peers Vitesse. Ruud van Nistelrooy's team started the match nicely, after five minutes Yorbe Vertessen saw his shot denied by Vitesse's goalkeeper. Shortly after, Andrew Mendonca intercepted the ball in midfield. With a beautiful pass, he set Vertessen free in front of the goal, but the Belgian was unable to capitalize on this opportunity either and hit the Vitesse goalkeeper. Not much later the goalkeeper had to act again on a shot by Seku Sidibe from the edge of the penalty area. With a strange action he stopped the ball in front of the goal line. Nigel Thomas came closest to scoring the opening goal in the first half, but his free kick hit the bar.

The second half had only just begun when Vitesse's first chance was an instant hit. The left-winger of the Arnheimers left goalkeeper Kyan van Dorp defenseless with a shot into the far corner. In the 51st minute, Damien Timan reached Zakaria Aboukhlal with a nice pass. The striker shoots hard into the short corner, but the Vitesse goalkeeper again manages to prevent an Eindhoven goal. Vitesse extended the score by scoring 2 and 3-0 in the 70th minute and in injury time. PSV does do something back through Mohamed Ihattaren. The match therefore ends in a 3-1 final score in favor of the home team.

PSV O19's next match is at home against NAC O19, on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m.
