The report
After the fine victory in late April over Almere City (7-1), today, on Ascension Day, FC Den Bosch awaited as a guest at De Herdgang. A match between numbers 3 from top and bottom. In Den Bosch, PSV struggled quite a bit, but won 0-2.
In the early stages, the danger came from corner kicks. So it came as no surprise that the first goal came from a corner kick in the 13th minute. It was the guests who took the lead. The guests could not enjoy the lead for long, because four minutes later the score was tied again. After the goalkeeper defused an equally great free kick from 25 meters from Mylian Jimenez with a great reflex, it was Jenson Seelt who served Dylan Hopman, who scored from close range. Moments later, PSV almost took the lead when Mylian tried again from distance and saw his shot go just wide. Before halftime, the home team made it 2-1. After Martijn Zuijderwijk sent right back D'Leanu Arts well into the depths, Milan van de Riet's cross at the first post was well shot but the goalkeeper made a fine save. The attack continued and Dylan was able to head the ball in after a well measured cross from Mylian. Before half time Martijn had a chance to make it 3-1, but his effort went just wide.
After halftime, PSV still quickly made it 3-1. This time D'Leanu sent Milan away on the right and his cross, just in front of Mohamed Nassoh, was slipped into his own goal. Within ten minutes of the resumption, PSV lifted the score to 5-1. First it was Mylian who calmly rounded after Mohamed put him free in front of the goalkeeper. Moments later it was Mohamed himself who found the net. That was not the end of the story. PSV scored three more goals in the last quarter. Dyon Dorenbosch scored the sixth Eindhoven goal, after which D'Leanu Arts scored the best goal of the afternoon. From his own half, he steamed up the right side and then came inside and from about 20 meters shot the ball full into the upper left corner with his left. What a brilliant goal! The final chord was for Dyon, who scored 8-1 after a good cross from Milan.
Once again a very big home victory for PSV's O15 who put wonderful attacks on the mat at times. Next week the team will play two matches. First on Thursday away to Vitesse and then on Saturday at home against FC Volendam.
