    Draw in Arnhem

On this weekday afternoon, PSV O15 faced Vitesse at Papendal. PSV is, next to NAC Breda, the only team still without a point loss. The only difference was that PSV had only played three games and NAC had already played four. As many as today's opponent, Vitesse. The Arnheimers collected just as many points in those matches, four. It was not an easy game against this physically strong team. In December, for example, PSV lost 4-3 to Vitesse.

The first half was mediocre from both sides. Both teams tried to create danger via long balls, but they rarely succeeded. The best chances were for PSV, which after a quarter of an hour played very cleverly under pressure and then crossed the field diagonally via a couple of passes, after which Jason van Duiven hit the side netting. A little later Jason was allowed to take a free kick in a promising position, but it ended up on the roof of the goal. In contrast, PSV was lucky that a disguised shot by the Vitesse striker via Tijn Smolenaars came back into the field via the post. Because the Vitesse goalkeeper also kept his goal clean on a good shot by Enzo Geerts, both teams went to the dressing rooms with the familiar glasses.

After halftime, the game did not improve. Still, PSV took a 0-1 lead in the 53rd minute when Jason pushed a corner from Enzo into the goal. PSV could not enjoy the lead for very long. Three minutes later the score was 1-1 when a shot from the edge of the box went in. With fifteen minutes to play, PSV seemed to take the lead again. Julian Kwaaitaal went well through on the left and gave a good cross to Jason who unfortunately saw the goalkeeper turn his header and then see his rebound cleared out of the goal mouth. PSV also had another opportunity just before the end when Arthur Piedfort played the ball in to Eus Waayers. However, his shot went straight at the goalkeeper who had little trouble stopping the ball.

Thus, this mediocre match ended in a draw. Unnecessary point loss in the race for the championship. Saturday the team will get a chance for revenge when Alphense Boys comes to Campus De Herdgang.
