PSV takes 3 points in The Hague

PSV faced the traditionally tricky away game against ADO Den Haag on Saturday, which was still tied 3-3 at home. The team, yearning for a win after a difficult start to the second half of the league, rewarded itself with a deserved victory.

PSV had control of the game, especially in the second half, and were able to convert the advantage into goals at the right moments. Striker Jason could and should have opened the scoring as early as the 17th minute, when he was able to beat the Hague goalkeeper. He rounded the keeper with a nice drag flick but because he played the ball a bit too far in front of him, a defender from The Hague was able to save the ball. Five minutes before halftime, Jason captured the ball on the halfway line. He immediately sent Jeremy down the right, who went full speed towards the Hague goal and shot low into the left corner, 0-1.

Again at a good time - 10 minutes after halftime - PSV built the score after a razor-sharp switch after a deflected attack and again with a starring role for Jason and Jeremy. Jason picked up the ball on his own half and sent Jeremy, who was already running into space on the right, into the depths. At the far post Milan was able to tap in his cross easily, 0-2. ADO was unable to give PSV the lead after that. In injury time Heritier scored the statistical 0-3. After a deflected corner he set up an attack on his own half, in which he was also the end station, and shot inside the Hague penalty area.

An equally much needed and deserved victory for the O16. Next Saturday, PSV will play AZ at the Herdgang.

Setup: Peter Strijbosch; Alberto Puts - Nigel Lonwijk - Dennis Vos - Heritier Deyonge; Dani Mathieu - Manu Matuta (c) - Kees van Lindert; Milan Beumer ('70 Jur Clabbers) - Jason Pigmans - Jeremy Antonisse.
