  1. Match report

PSV B1 managed to snatch a point from leaders Ajax in Amsterdam. After a slightly lesser period in the first half, PSV came back very strong, making even a victory possible. In the first half, PSV played against the wind, which created some tricky situations. Both teams controlled well, so there were few clear-cut chances in the first half. On the PSV side there was a header by Imad Najah from a corner kick, but it went a good meter wide. At the moment PSV was a little less organized, Ajax took advantage. Through a quick conversion they scored the 1-0.

In the second half, PSV had the wind in their favor and it seemed to make it easier to play football. There were several chances. After a cross from Wouter Smeets, Youness Mokhtar just could not reach the ball. At the other end it was Kelle Roos who saved once with his foot. Moments later Jason Bourdouxhe ran through from midfield, after a foul on PSV striker Josemar Makiavala. Jason Bourdouxhe's shot was smothered, but came via a scramble situation to the foot of Josemar Makiavala. He worked the ball into the Amsterdam goal, putting PSV back on level terms after about 15 minutes of play in the second half. A few minutes later there was another great chance for Imad Najah. The central defender was allowed to run through to the Ajax goal after a good one-two. Because he waited a little too long, the ball could still be cleared by an Amsterdam player. In a subsequent attack, Youness Mokhtar was brought down just inside or just outside the penalty area. The referee concluded outside, leaving a free kick for PSV. No more goals were scored, and the match thus ended in a deserved 1-1.
