  1. Match report

Today PSV D2 had the move to Oranje Wit in Dordrecht ahead of them.
So getting up in the middle of the night was necessary for those who had to come from a bit further away, as the match started at 09:45.
James had to play his match with the D3 and was replaced by Koen Oostenbrink. Arne did not play because of a knee injury.
In the early stages you could see that Oranje Wit was not going to let them walk all over them, and started the game fiercest with only some timid attempts.
PSV's counterpick could count. Nice pass from Baggio to Cody who served Jordan and it was an instant goal. Nice combination and clever goal. 0-1.
The fierce start was suddenly tempered by the home team. Yet after 7 minutes they were also dangerous when Pepijn played a ball back into the foot of a home attacker
who in turn played the ball against the outside of the post.
Then it was PSV's turn again with a fine action by Ruud on the left but his cross goes wide.
Armando intervenes cleverly at the back and immediately sets up an attack, a tight ball to Jordan, who plays Cody perfectly, but the goalkeeper pushes his shot into corner.
After 17 minutes a high free kick from Oranje Wit which Pepijn has some trouble with and has to release the ball, the round thing can't fall worse than exactly
into the foot of the opponent and it is 1-1.
But no problem thinks Amar and he takes off in his "supersonic" way, runs everyone out, including the goalkeeper and taps in in a controlled manner. Barely one minute after the equalizer, PSV is ahead again. Goal signed Amar Catic.
Moments later Amar sets off again but now he has to swerve too far to the outside and his attempt at danger is foiled by several returning defenders.
Four minutes before halftime, PSV gets a free kick from a few meters outside the sixteen. Armando behind the ball, his blast slips through the goalkeeper's hands against the crossbar. Cody followed well and taps in two. The goal is not approved for reasons still unknown to me.
From then on, the referee comes into the picture. The man in black - whom yours truly has a lot of respect for - always makes decisions from the center spot because the advanced age of this sturdy octogenarian no longer allows him to follow the game from a closer distance.
A foul on Jordan that the "centenarian" didn't see either is not whistled. Jordan can no longer continue and must be substituted.
He then uses his (almost) last breath before the halftime signal. 1-2.

After coffee the referee waits a while and also for the first chance, which is for Justin, but the goalkeeper parries.
A clever intervention by Lars suddenly results... in a penalty kick...? And in the bargain for a red card for Armando...? Yeah guys, I've been through some things, but this? And actually this is a sporting match, and quite exciting too, because for the first time PSV has opposition now. But you can't see everything from the center spot of course.
So, a penalty kick, which the entourage of the home team also has to laugh about. Pepijn has no chance and the score is even. 2-2.
The chances went back and forth and 1 minute before the end, Roland got possession of the ball in the sixteen, and shot in from the corner. 2-3.
Or not, no, because the "eternal" saw hands from the center spot, while Roland claims not to have touched the ball with his hand.
So this goal also fails. Now we can whine about the referee not allowing the goals, but if the players then make two he doesn't always have to disallow them either.
Now as a supporter I am always neutral, but today I had to rub my eyes a few times.
My respect for the Dutch supporters today, was endless, in Belgium ( my home country ) he was skinned alive, I'm sure.
Oh well, it was a sunny day and blah blah blah, but getting up at 6 a.m. to witness this, I thought that was about it.

    Draw, then. 2-2.

Next Saturday against Den Bosch in the Herdgang another topper for the D2.
Everyone is welcome here as well.
