PSV O13 does not give home and loses
PSV O13 suffered a somewhat flattered defeat. The young Eindhoveners went down 4-0 against the peers of Sparta Rotterdam.
Just like in the home game, PSV started the match badly. After losing the ball in midfield, the Sparta striker was set free in front of goal. He rounded the goalkeeper and slid the ball into the empty goal after only four minutes. Five minutes later it was again on target: a deep ball from Sparta was caught by the wind and fell over the Eindhoven defense. Once again the Sparta striker was able to head towards goal and again he didn't fail, 2-0.
After fifteen minutes PSV got into the game a bit better. A nice goal by Raf van de Riet was disallowed because of a foul, and Jayden Ettienne missed with the goalie. As no more goals were scored, both teams went to rest with a 2-0 score.
In the second half, things were evenly matched for a long time. PSV did not play well, but also prevented Sparta from becoming dangerous. With ten minutes left to play, Sparta got the first chance after halftime, and it immediately led to the decision. A Sparta player was again allowed to appear free in front of the goalkeeper and again he did not fail. In injury time Sparta even scored a fourth goal, after which the referee immediately called it quits.
A defeat for PSV O13, which despite the loss can play in the Champions Pool after the winter break. Next week the Eindhoven players will get the chance to show their recovery, when Feyenoord visit Herdgang.
