PSV D1 won the home match against bottom-ranked VVV D1 in fairly straightforward fashion 5-0. PSV's play in the first fifteen minutes of the match was sloppy with many inaccurate passes. After fifteen minutes, PSV opened the score through Jeroen Meefout, who neatly headed in a corner via the leg of a VVV defender. PSV was now gaining momentum and less than two minutes later Michael Maria scored the 2-0 via the inside of the post.
In the 20th minute it was Rai Vloet who made it 3-0 from 20 meters with a tight shot under the crossbar. Five minutes before halftime, Endy Opoku Bernadia increased the lead to 4-0 and just before halftime Jordy de Wijs fired a free kick from at least twenty-five meters (5-0).
In the second half there was not much to enjoy for the public anymore. Many actions by the dominating PSV stranded in beauty and it was not surprising that the score remained unchanged.
Sven van de Kerkhof and Olivier Rommens were missing due to illness and injury and we wish both players a speedy recovery.
On Friday PSV D1 plays the catch-up match against Fortuna Sittard D1 at 18.30.
