  1. Match report

Today the away game to Brabant United, a combination of the youth of RKC and Fc Den Bosch. This time the match will be played in Stadium "De Vliert" In Den Bosch. The players have been looking forward to playing in a real football stadium all week. Especially for Jesper this is special, it is also the stadium where his father has played. So arriving at the stadium we get the first setback of the day? The match will not be played in the stadium but on the fields of BVV, which are located behind the stadium. So then we went to the other location. We expect a lot of opposition from Brabant United today, as they won against Feyenoord just last week, so PSV has been warned. Also, 4 of our own players are not with us today. 3 players have transferred to the U14, and Thijn has a tear in his ankle. But there are 2 top players from O12, Bram and Tijn. PSV starts the match brightly, so it is not surprising that the first chance is for PSV. It is Jaivy who tries it with a shot from the side, but it is just touched by a player of Brabant United, and ends up in the side-netting. From the corner that Chahid takes from the corner flag, Brabant United immediately gives away the next corner. Now Chahid also knows again that corners should not be taken from the corner flag but 9 meters inside, so a second chance. This one lands exactly on Jesper's head, and then you already know that the ball will go on goal, and this time it is unstoppable, and into the net. After 4 minutes already a 0-1 lead. 1 minute later it is Brabant United that misses the chance for the equalizer by shooting a free chance high over. From the attack that PSV set up from there, the ball went to Milan, who sent two men into the woods with a nice passing move, and immediately sent a pass to Jaivy, who coolly and calmly kicked the ball past the goalkeeper 0-2 after 6 minutes. After this lead it becomes enjoyable, PSV dominates the whole field, defensively they don't give an inch, the midfield recovers the ball just as quickly as they lose it and then shows great positional play with many position changes, and the attackers are constantly playable and threatening, it is just a football show today what PSV shows. Chahid tries a shot in the 22nd minute, the Brabant United goalkeeper has no grip on it, and of course Jesper is there again to punish this 0-3. With this we also go into halftime.
Will the 2nd half be the same as the 1st? But we soon get the answer, 2 minutes after half time it is Lars who sends Chahid away with a cross ball, who manages to score from the back line into the short corner 0-4 so that's what we call coming out of the dressing room strong. 3 minutes later Sven was sent away with a deep ball, Sven still had to come from his own half, and to be honest I did not believe that Sven was going to make it, but if he had wings so fast he went straight for the goal, and the little one left everything bigger behind him and stayed very calm and scored the 0-5 very controlled. In the 38th minute the best goal of the day. Lars intercepted the goalkeeper's goal kick, played it in to Chahid who passed it in one go to Sven, who in turn went straight out and whizzed the ball full into the crossbar. With 20 minutes to go, PSV continues to play reasonably to well but the spaces get a little bigger and they think it's okay. Still, they did not give anything away in the last 10 minutes and remained on top without getting sloppy.
So the boys deserved a compliment today, it was a very high level of play. Also a compliment for Tijn and Bram from the O12 team who have shown that they can easily keep up. But also a compliment to trainer Tim for letting the boys make such great strides in a relatively short time. But there will also be matches where it will not be as easy as today, and then all these compliments will not help, then you start again at 0-0 and we will have to work hard again to reach this level. The next game is Wednesday afternoon at 17:00 in Hoorn for the Cup, and next Saturday at home for the league against VVV Venlo. See you then!!!!
