    O14 books important win

Wednesday marked the third league game in a week for PSV O14. After the win at AZ and the loss at ADO Den Haag, the team had to win today at NAC Breda to still compete for the championship. After a good game by PSV, the scoreboard stood at 0-2 after 70 minutes. Now PSV can get ready for the cracker against FC Utrecht and this will be the final game of the year.

NAC, which was much stronger physically than PSV, started the match better. The boys from Breda seemed to be impressed by their height and physical stature. In the second minute of the match, PSV goalkeeper Tijn Smolenaars had to make a save when NAC had a big chance. After about fifteen minutes, PSV got better in the match. They started to realize that they should not fight, but just play football and passing the ball around was the weapon. In the 22nd minute, PSV got the reward for the good it showed. PSV-back El Melliani entered the NAC penalty area and played the ball off to Bars, who again managed to reach the free-standing Van Duiven: 0-1. Several more chances followed for PSV, but accuracy was lacking. PSV could rest with a small lead.

In the second half, NAC did not play football anymore. They tried with long balls, but the PSV defense did not budge today. PSV on the other hand started to play better and better. There were some nice attacks on the Eindhoven side, although this did not result in a goal. PSV O13 player Nicolaas Verkooijen, who played a great game, was the closest. After a cross from Tytens, Verkooijen just couldn't work the ball in at the far post. In the 43rd minute, after another good cross from El Melliani, it was Tytens who managed to slide the ball in at the far post from a difficult angle: 0-2.

After this victory, next Saturday will be the match at FC Utrecht. The number one and two against each other. With a win, PSV will be in first place and have everything in their own hands again. But that it will be a difficult match is certain. Then two more home games against NAC and Ajax. So first get a result in Utrecht and then look forward to the next game. But it will be exciting.
