Match report:
Today PSV played against the number 3 in the league, Helmond Sport. The question beforehand was: Could Helmond Sport pull off a stunt to make the league a bit exciting again? The answer was from the kickoff: No. PSV played well to very well and super-concentrated in the process. In short, PSV played like a worthy upcoming champion.
From the first minute, PSV pinned the opponent in their own half. Helmond Sport put up a red-black wall and lurked for that little mistake. However, PSV did not give away a chance and looked for the right moment to make a breach in this wall. That succeeded only once in the first half after yet another beautiful attack.
In the 2nd half, PSV stepped up the pressure at an even faster pace. The 2nd goal took a while to come. But, then the curtain fell definitively for Helmond Sport. PSV built up the score steadily. Helmond Sport did only damage-control and gasped for a quick end. With a final score of only 4-0, the Helmonders were still well served. PSV D1: Chapeau for this match.
