PSV O13 wins 'home game' over FC Twente

In the second league match after the winter break, PSV O13 recorded their first win in the champions' pool. The team played a good match and defeated FC Twente 2-0.

Due to a number of shifts, the home match was played at the sports complex of opponent Twente. PSV O13 got off to an excellent start, hitting the post within a minute via Raf van de Riet. A few minutes later, the left back was successful: after an attack via Nicolas Verkooijen and Robin van Duiven, Van de Riet slid the ball under the goalkeeper. Five minutes later the Eindhoven players could cheer again, when Jayden Ettienne's excellent action was rewarded with a penalty kick. Robin van Duiven sent the goalkeeper into the wrong corner and made it 2-0. A great moment for the right-winger, who just transferred from Twente last summer.

After this early 2-0, PSV O13 controlled the match. The team had a lot of ball possession, but had two chances just before halftime. Goalkeeper Daan van de Brande saved the game and made sure that both teams went to rest with a 2-0 score.

In the second half, PSV O13 continued to play in a compact organization. The team left the ball to Twente, but kept the lines close together and gave away few opportunities. Twente's belief in a good outcome ebbed away, allowing PSV O13 to finish the match calmly. Still, the team gave away a chance in the final seconds, but Daan van de Brande again made an excellent save. After an hour of play the final score was 2-0.

A nice and deserved victory for PSV O13. Next week the team plays the next league match: at Papendal Vitesse is the next opponent.
