  1. Match report

It looked to be a quiet evening in cozy Den Bosch. Two teams that competed against each other last season and finished in places one and two.
We know from DB that this is a team with a lot of good football players, and it was up to PSV to show that they were the stronger one this season as well.

PSV started with the lineup Arne in goal, at the back Baggio, Jordan, Lars and Ruud. The middle was occupied by Huseyin and Robin, and start we did with four attacking players, Amar ( back from injury ) Justin, Cody and Roland. With this lineup we should go for the 3 points.

And it started brightly. Ball taken by Amar directly to Cody, but offside. DB play well with a first threat via a free kick, the shot goes over.
There is quick play back and forth by the PSV players, and at the trainer's request, after 10 minutes it goes up another level. There are chances, but no goals for the time being. Although it remains watchful for the home team's sturdy striker. Losing the ball at the back, he gets a chance to kick and this lad's peg is caught with some difficulty by Arne. PSV starts to play a little faster and Justin sees Cody leave in the depth, nicely passed and "Cood" pops the 0-1 in. Just like against Helmond Sport last week-end, it is a bit of a search at first but then the goals fall a little later. A lovely ball from Ruud along the line to Cody, who serves Amar, Amar's shot into the short corner is cleverly caught by the home goalie. But the trend is set, and PSV wants more. On a cross from Amar, Jordan comes in well and kicks cleverly, again the goalkeeper is in the right corner. And it remains watchful for DB's counterattack. The striker is well in the game, and does not need much. again follows a shot that goes narrowly over. The second goal is from the same actors as the first, only now Cody plays Justin, and when he comes alone in front of the goalkeeper.... 0-2 indeed.
DB's striker is by now a little deeper in the pocket of our defenders, and so the pace slows down again. Nevertheless, Arne has to work hard on a corner kick and is able to catch a ball just before the line.

We gave away nothing more and the score at halftime was 0-2.

In the second half Pepijn starts in goal, Lars and Jordan are supported by Luc and Ruud in defense, Cody drops back a bit, just ahead of Robin and Huseyin, and Steven and Amar have to provide the goals, although that is relative. From me, even Pepijn gets to score. Along with the (artificial) lighting, rain is also coming down from the sky and then it is not so pleasant taking notes. Pepijn is also wide awake, so he comes out well on a deep pass from DB. And Den Bosch is obviously more than that striker, there are a few more pleasant footballers in between. It is not noticeable that they are 0-2 behind. Once on the field they go for it again. This makes for a pleasant game for the spectators, who all have to hold their umbrellas. They can see that Luc goes along the line and delivers a cross/shot that the goalkeeper can only just catch. Robin sprinkles in the middle with good passes and on one of them the DB goalkeeper has to kick away just in front of Amar. When Justin sets up a one-two with Cody, he is hooked in the sixteen. Penalty kick! Justin put the score to 0-3. Den Bosch can then only thrive on stagnant phases. On a splitting pass from Jordan the Bosma-express is started, Steven as before, past everyone to the back line, good overview, good pass also to Cody, but who decides on the goalkeeper. DB comes back into the game with a blast from the striker, outside foot, Pepijn sees the ball collide with the post, it apparently shouldn't be for the home team, because based on the game delivered they do deserve a goal. That will be of no concern to the defenders and Pepijn or Arne, they are obviously going for that zero. And where the ball doesn't go in at one end, it goes in at the other. On a counterattack, Cody can tap in his second of the evening. 0-4. Huseyin cleverly played in to Roland, one shot on goal but just over. Den Bosch kept trying. Now again with a free kick that went just over, a shot from the second line, again over. At the other end, the 0-5 is scored by Cody, but he used his hand, which of course is not allowed unless your name is Maradona. so it remains 0-4. When the game is as good as over, Den Bosch gets what they deserve. Pepijn kicks well away from an approaching DB striker but shoots so hard that the ball hits a DB player in the penalty area and he reacts by kicking the ball back and the ball gently rolls over the goal line. Six on six. speaking of a good start.
