This practice match was played in three 20-minute periods.

In the first game of this season, PSV started the match well. In the first minute the ball came through a combination via several players into the feet of Djurre. His shot hit the target immediately, 1-0. PSV kept control in the beginning of the match. Halfway through the first period, Leuven got better and PSV had to go back. However, Leuven did not create any real chances. In the last part of the first period, PSV became dangerous from a corner kick. However, the ball hit the post.

PSV started the second period as energetic as the first. However, a distance shot by Jur hit the crossbar. PSV kept the upper hand but no real chances were created. PSV was inaccurate in their passing and sometimes made wrong choices. No goals were scored in this period.

PSV was also the dominant player in the third period. However, no real chances were created. The only trick in this period was that a PSV shot from distance was turned away by the Leuven goalie. Leuven could not create any more chances, so the final score was 1-0.

This match was a useful practice match at the start of the new season.
