PSV O13 plays equal after late goal against
Visiting FC Twente, PSV O13 achieved a draw. After two goals in the second half, the final score was 1-1. Based on the field play this was a fair result, however, the Eindhoveners did themselves short by conceding a late goal.
After a messy opening phase, in which both teams lost a lot of ball, Twente slowly took the initiative. Thanks in part to a strong Eindhoven defense, however, the visitors were unable to become dangerous. PSV lurked on the counter and got dangerous through Jayden Ettienne, but the substitute on the right waited too long with his shot. As a result, both teams went into halftime with the score tied.
Five minutes after halftime, PSV took the lead. A long ball from behind went to Sami Bouhoudane, who won a sprint from his direct opponent. The striker remained calm, passed the goalkeeper and calmly slid the ball into the empty goal. After the opening goal, PSV forgot to push on. The spaces in the Twente defense were large, but the Eindhoveners were too careless to play this out. In injury time, PSV got the lid on this. A cross from the right side was worked into the net in three instances, allowing Twente and PSV to share the points in extremis.
Next Saturday is the next match for PSV O13. The Eindhoven players will then play at home against FC Utrecht.
