Today the boys of P.S.V. D2 had the away game at N.A.C. D2. N.A.C. is always a strong opponent and everyone knows the ''night at N.A.C.'' What was Saturday morning against N.A.C.-D2 going to bring us? After just a few minutes of play, it was already clear that our boys had come out of the locker room strong. In the early stages it looked like P.S.V. might be a size too big for N.A.C.; Frequent ball possession was accompanied by good passing and some good individual actions, as we are used to from our boys. Especially Arnoud came in dangerously from the left side many times. After a few chances, the first goal was a fact after about 15 minutes. Yentl Meyssen finished a good attack nicely. In an attempt to prevent this goal, the captain of N.A.C. collided with the goalpost and had to leave the field with a slight concussion. Because of this loss in defense, P.S.V. had several chances to increase the lead. Unfortunately that did not work out, making the 0-1 score the score at halftime. After the break P.S.V. did not give up the game and continued to play with concentration. The defense at the back gave away few chances and the midfielders of the D2 were clearly in control. After some dangerous free kicks by Taoufiq, which unfortunately did not hit the target, it was our German midfielder, who after a nice combination, controlled the 0-2. After this the game was played and the P.S.V. D2 team became more relaxed. After a nice attack over several drives, Jasper Nuininga skillfully made it 0-3 from the right. After this Jasper Nuininga almost made it 0-4, but this effort was saved on the goal line by the excellent N.A.C. goalkeeper. Coach Ron was moderately satisfied with the game, but saw progress compared to the game we lost last week against Eindhoven. Next week, 13-12-2008, is the home game against DESK D1.
