    PSV O13 loses to Feyenoord

In a mediocre match from the PSV side, the team suffered their second defeat of the season. At Varkenoord, Feyenoord proved too strong in the end, 1-0. PSV played very sloppy, making this defeat entirely their own fault.

The only goal of the game came after only four minutes of play. A cross from Feyenoord's left winger was not dealt with and the Rotterdammers' right winger was able to shoot in hard. PSV had a lot of trouble with the game from Feyenoord, who looked much brighter than the Eindhoven players. Also because PSV played sloppily, they were unable to create any opportunities in the first half. Just before half-time the Rotterdammers even had a great chance to make it 2-0. In the same attack, however, both the left winger (saved by goalkeeper Daan van de Brande) and the striker (header on the crossbar) failed to find the goal.

In the beginning of the second half, PSV was a bit more aggressive. After about five minutes, Julian van Esdonk played himself free in the box, but his shot unfortunately went wide. Despite the fact that PSV started to play brighter, the sloppiness did not disappear from the game. As a result, the team still found it difficult to create chances and even had to watch out that Feyenoord did not strike from a counter. In the final minute of the match, PSV had the chance to equalize. After a free kick Samuel Gomez managed to extend the ball. The ball seemed to be heading for the far corner, but the Feyenoord goalkeeper just pushed it against the bar. Shortly after this opportunity the final whistle sounded, meaning PSV had to leave the points behind in Rotterdam.

After a midweek practice match against Club Brugge, the next league match for PSV O13 follows when Sparta Rotterdam comes to visit. The Spangenaren are three points above PSV in the league table, but also have one more match in the legs. So this game promises to be another test for the team.
