PSV O13 deservedly past ADO Den Haag

A well playing PSV O13 recorded a deserved victory over ADO Den Haag. At their own Herdgang stadium they won 3-1. A deserved victory, although the score could have been higher.

The Eindhoven players started the match strongly. Robin van Duiven s header hit the bar and halfway through the first half Joep Willems had the opportunity to score one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Just before halftime, the Eindhoven supremacy was finally expressed in the score. A through cross from Raf van de Riet ended up with Jayden Ettienne. The right-winger returned the ball perfectly and Robin van Duiven headed in. With a 1-0 halftime score, both teams went into the locker rooms.

The second half had barely begun when PSV could cheer again. A mistake in The Hague defense gave Joep Willems free passage. His attempt was cleverly turned away by the goalkeeper, but the rebound was a prey for Joep Vermeulen. The midfielder placed the ball from 25 meters, out of reach of all players, into the empty goal. Nothing had been seen from ADO so far, yet the Hagenezen came back into the game after 50 minutes. A corner was headed in, putting the tension back in the match. Yet PSV quickly restored the margin of two goals. After a cross from Joep Willems and two clever crosses, the ball ended up with Joep Vermeulen. The midfielder outplayed his opponent and passed the ADO goalkeeper for the second time this match. PSV did not get into trouble again and created some good chances, but the 3-1 result was more than deserved.

Next Wednesday is the next assignment for PSV O13. Hidde van Boven's team will then play FC Volendam in the semi-finals of the cup at the KRAS Stadium.
