Today most will already have set the alarm at 6:00 am. The away match against JVOZ from Vlissingen is scheduled. Starting time 10.00 hours. JVOZ has dropped to the middle of the league after a good start and this team consists of players all born in 2000. So for once we are not directly behind in terms of length. PSV's intentions were clear from the start. To reach the attackers through the axis of the field. After the now familiar yell "hup PSV" has sounded, the first chance for PSV arises. Remco was launched well, but the shot ended up in the hands of the goalkeeper. Moments later a dangerous through ball from JVOZ, but Edson gets out of the goal well. The referee whistles a bit fussy and Jay gets a yellow card for holding after about seven minutes. This could be an expensive trip for some if yellow is given so quickly. Luckily for PSV this is all they get, JVOZ have to take three more (exaggerated) yellow cards in an otherwise very sportive match. The KNVB pot is filled again shall we say. But this aside. PSV takes the initiative in the match and in the 9th minute, Yasin is sent into the depths through a nice attack. Yasin has a good look and lays the ball well back to Arne who shoots in the 1-0. It is soon clear that this JVOZ cannot hurt PSV. It is therefore important to take distance quickly. After Yasin created some danger from the left side, PSV makes it 2-0 in the 16th minute. Davy sends Remco into the deep and his cross to Greg, or was it a deliberate kick, falls in at the far post. Even before halftime a shot hit the crossbar from Davy. The half-time score remains 2-0. In the beginning of the first half JVOZ could still do something back, in the second half the opponent was sent from pillar to post. PSV is mainly in ball possession and lets the ball pass well through the ranks. JVOZ continues to concentrate on keeping the damage limited and therefore does not put pressure forward. This leads to the 3-0 after about 7 minutes into the second half. Remco setting up the attack finds Greg. Greg lays back to Remco who then shoots it impeccably into the bottom left corner. Good goal after a nice attack. PSV gets a few more chances and twice Sem comes close. Niels also threatened the goal, but his shot went over. Ten minutes before time Niels gets his goal after all. After he set himself free with a nice action, he shoots at the same bottom corner as Remco before. This 4-0 is also the final score, but only partly reflects the difference in strength today. After next competitor UNA suffered a defeat last week, today it was the turn of direct pursuer FC Den Bosch who lost to Baronie. The lead over the first pursuers is now six points. Next week an interesting meeting against UNA that follows Willem II and Den Bosch on 6 points.
