PSV started the match well. They were clearly all in the mood and as a result they scored beautifully after seven minutes. The cross came from Okan Köse and Anthony van den Hurk headed it in beautifully. Then PSV weakened a bit, which made it 1-1. But as often happens, PSV got back into the lead. At a corner by Peter van Ooijen, the goalkeeper punched the ball away and it ended up with Zakaria Labyad, who lashed out hard. This was on the stroke of halftime, giving PSV a pleasant start to tea.

PSV started the second half moderately, a lot of wrong passing from behind and a misunderstanding made it 2-2. PSV continued to work hard for the win and Gianluca Maria made his comeback after 9 months of injury. He fell in well and was often playable. Moments later Anthony got the ball on the left and got through to the back line. He cut out a player and saw Gianluca and Zakaria standing free. Gianluca made room for Zakaria and scored the 3-2 in the final minute through a beautiful attack.
