  1. Match report

    The report

Last week there were two matches scheduled for PSV O13. On Wednesday they had to visit Spartaan '20 in Rotterdam, and on Saturday Sparta Rotterdam was their guest at the Herdgang. The numbers 3 and 2 of the league, so an important week for PSV. The game against Spartaan was won 0-1 despite less good play. The game against Sparta was good, but they could not score, and Sparta did, so this game was lost 0-1.

The match against Spartaan ' 20 produced a lot of fight, but few chances. The physically strong team from Rotterdam managed to keep it tight at the back. PSV went along with the physical play, but that is not their strength, so many duels were lost. Around the 45th minute some changes were made in the team by trainers Tim Wolf and Vincent Heilman. This immediately created some chances for PSV. A few minutes later Emir Bars managed to reach the free Arthur Pietfort, who slid the ball in. In the last minute another great chance for Emir, but the ball was cleared just before the line. So despite the lesser game, still a nice victory.

Three days later it was Sparta that visited, now it was PSV that showed they could play good football. Up to the sixteen meters it went well. But when they got into the sixteen the sharpness in front of goal was lacking. Khaled Rhazak was the closest to a goal, but the ball went wide. But Sparta also got away well a few times by switching quickly. The play remained good, but scoring was a problem as it has been all season. In the 32nd minute PSV lost the ball too easily, Sparta switched quickly and managed to score from this breakaway. Now PSV started to put even more pressure on the Sparta goal, but the ball would not go in. So despite the good play, they had to leave the points to the Rotterdammers.

Next week again a double program for PSV O13. On Wednesday they will visit FC Den Bosch and on Saturday an away game to Kerkrade awaits, where Roda JC will be the opponent. We will have to play with a lot of energy here as well, to not fall further down the rankings.
