  1. Match report

Today was an important match for PSV O17: Do we take over the lead position from Ajax? Or will we be 5 points behind?
The match was of high level, both teams could win, but PSV was slightly better than Ajax today. Ajax got the first chance in the 6th minute, but shot wide. Some time later, Michal Sadilek was sent deep and he ran into the 16-meter area, but was brought down by an Ajax defender. The referee reacted to that and whistled for a penalty. This was taken by Gianluca Scamacca who shot the ball into the top left corner: 1-0 for PSV.
Moments later there was a nice attack by Michal Sadilek and Gianluca Scamacca who played to Joel Piroe. Piroe wanted to shoot at goal but was offside and the goal was disallowed.
Soon after, Gianluca Scamacca had the chance to make it 2-0 but the goalkeeper tapped the ball corner, which led to no further danger. In the 29th minute there was another nice attack by Baggio Wallenburg, who crossed the ball well for Gianluca Scamacca, who headed the ball just past.

In the second half there were again more chances for PSV to make it 2-0 but in the 53rd minute Ajax started to play 1 on 1 but we didn't let that stop us from continuing the way we played. But in 59th minute Ajax still made the 1-1 which was actually unjustified. PSV did not deal well with the chances we created but in the 73rd minute Gianluca Scamacca sent Joel Piroe away and Joel Piroe was free to shoot at goal and made it 2-1. Ajax therefore started to take more risks to force the 2-2 but PSV stood well, made the spaces small, so Ajax had no possibility to equalize.
And in the 78th minute, Joel Piroe made it 3-1 with a nice breakaway and the match ended with a nice victory.
