After a somewhat difficult start to the league, PSV has gained some steam. The last few games were won in full and after beating Ajax 2-3 at De Toekomst earlier this week, FC Utrecht also had to take it Saturday at De Herdgang.
PSV dominated from the start, did not give Utrecht the feeling that anything was to be gained and expressed the dominance in the score early in the match. Already in the 6th minute, PSV had the first 100% opportunity to take the lead. Captain Armando Obispo played a fantastic pass over 40 meters to the free standing Leandro Fernandes, who did not hesitate but saw his effort go just wide. A few minutes later it was a winner.
Sekoe Sidibe reacted alertly when the ball fell at his feet after a header by Joël Piroe on the crossbar and scored the 1-0. Less than 10 minutes later, Amar Catic increased the margin to 2-0 when he received the ball as a gift after a mistake by Utrecht in the build-up, and punished it with a placed ball into the right corner. That same Amar enabled Joël Piroe to increase the margin with an excellent move at speed, but the striker shot just wide of the Utrecht goal. PSV escaped the Utrecht goal 1 minute before halftime when Youri Roulaux half-passed a cross and Utrecht almost profited but saw the ball hit the cross in the rebound.

PSV then decided the match early in the 2nd half with the best goal of the afternoon.
In the 52nd minute, Sekoe Sisibe seemed to get stuck in the Utrecht penalty area, but he managed to play in Robin Schoonbrood, who was standing on the left side just outside the penalty area. He took the ball and curled it directly into the right cross with a perfect kick. Apart from a situation where Utrecht became dangerous from a quick conversion and shot into the side netting, PSV had no problems in the second half and played the game out with sovereignty.

An excellent game by the O16, especially with the midweek victory against Ajax in the head and legs.
