  1. Match report

On a beautiful late summer day we went to visit Brabant Untited at the Mandemakers stadium in Waalwijk.
PSV made it difficult for themselves in the first half by pushing too much. In the crowd PSV lost many a duel, because the quality is not in physical dueling power.
This also caused PSV to fall behind in the 23rd minute. A BU corner was missed at the first post by the PSV defenders, but not by BU.
The equalizer fell just in the first half when BU played a back pass past the goalkeeper. Beslan then won the sprint duel from the defender and was able to tap in the equalizer.
In the second half, PSV made better use of the space and made better choices, allowing PSV to regain control of the game.
Soon PSV took the lead through a goal by Dani who outsmarted the goalie by placing the ball low into the far corner.
The third and fourth goals were two fantastic goals by Thijs. Both times he came through on the left. The first time he appeared to cross, but he placed the ball very subtly with his left over the goalkeeper and via the second post into the far corner. Three minutes later he again came through on the left, but this time he cut inside and curled the ball into the far corner with his right from 25 yards out.
With a 1-4 lead, PSV again became more sloppy and forgot to keep an eye on the organization. Ball loss in front gave BU the space to counter and score the 2-4.
It was not our best game, but under a lovely sun and with beautiful goals it was still a nice afternoon of football.
