  1. Match report

Today PSV F1 faced the topper against Wilhelmina Boys (WB). The boys from Best are even 1 point above PSV before the match, but have played one match more.
PSV started the match strongly and put WB under pressure right away. From the first corner they scored immediately. Joey put the ball fantastically in front of the goal and caused so much panic that goalie Joop could easily tap the ball in: 1-0.
PSV played very strong in this phase and continued to hunt for more goals. An error of judgement by the otherwise faultless WB goalkeeper on a long distance shot by Joey made it 2-0.
Those who thought the game was over were disappointed. WB continued to play well and slowly but surely got better in the match. Fortunately Merijn was very alert and managed to prevent a number of corners. At the other end Davy was close to a goal but his shot went past the WB goal.
The break was reached with a 2-0 lead. A very concentrated PSV played with a deserved lead against a strong opponent.
The second half showed the same picture. PSV stronger and more often on the ball but WB strong in the duels and sometimes dangerous for Kyan. But Kyan managed to keep the score zero for PSV. A compliment to the whole team!
There were also plenty of chances for PSV. Joop offered Brent a hardly to miss chance, Davy hit the post and the WB goalkeeper took a high ball in the short corner from Joop via head and post out of the goal. Unfortunately, the second half lacked a little more accuracy, otherwise the score would surely have been higher.
Still, PSV managed to score twice in this half as well. A distance shot by Davy was tapped in on the rebound by Tijn and Joop crowned a strong game with a beautiful solo and equally beautiful goal.
    Final score: 4-0.
A deserved victory over a strong and sporting opponent!

Goals: Joop (2x), Tijn and Joey
