Cold and wet and then out against NAC. The match literally starts with fireworks (what a neighborhood). We start well and don't really give NAC a chance. There is more ball possession for us and one attack is sometimes even more beautiful than the other. And on top of that we don't give anything away. We score some nice goals in the first half. Albian twice and Mohamed and Zakaria one each. And considering the chances we give away you would say it is now 0 - 4. But nothing is less true. We didn't give anything away but still we conceded two goals. This is due to some misunderstandings between the players. The half-time score is 2 - 4.
After the break we want to continue on our chosen path. But that is easier said than done. The second half is much less than the first. Small chances but no goals until the last minute. Then it was Geraldo who gave the final touch to an attack set up on the left, just before the goal line, to make it 2 - 5. And so a game that started with fireworks goes out like a candle.
A deserved victory and good for the self-confidence. Next Tuesday we leave for Birmingham for the game against Aston Villa. We need to take points there too to keep the chance of the second round in the NextGen Series open.
