Patient PSV O13-1 swings to good win against
ADO Early Saturday morning, PSV O13-1 recorded a fine victory. The team took a 0-0 lead against ADO Den Haag, but did not panic for a moment and eventually won 4-0.
The match was cold underway when PSV goalkeeper Kane Aerts already had to make a save. A distance attempt by ADO seemed to fall in, but via the goalkeeper's fingertip the ball ended up on the crossbar. At the other end, PSV captain Shuryjano Cornecion was dangerous, but after a dribble the midfielder's attempt ended up against the post. The biggest chance of the first half, however, was for Samuel Dumbili. The outside right was poked away toward the ADO goalkeeper. The psv U21 player placed the ball past the goalkeeper, but it also rolled on the wrong side of the post. As PSV goalkeeper caught another Hague attempt from a corner, both teams went to tea with a 0-0 score.
Just after the break, PSV finally took the deserved lead. A free kick by Shuryjano Cornecion reached the head of Fabian Merien, who touched the ball enough to beat the goalkeeper. Not much later, it was also 2-0 when Timo Wennekes launched Jairo Beerens with a fantastic pass. The striker passed the goalkeeper, after which it was a breeze to pass. Where everyone expected ADO Den Haag to press, the opposite turned out to be true. PSV had their affairs in order at the back and ensured that ADO could not become dangerous for a moment. Up front, the team mounted a few excellent attacks, not all of which got what they deserved. Shuryjano Cornecion put the ball - after a beautiful solo - just past the post and Liam Slaats' goal-kick ended a meter past the goal. Samuel Dumbili did manage to dot the i's and cross the net, though, by completing a solo after a ball conquest in midfield. Just before time, the striker promoted an excellent cross from Shuryjano Cornecion to a goal. After this 4-0, the referee ended the match.
So an excellent victory for PSV. Despite a somewhat difficult first half, the team prevailed in the second game, which ultimately resulted in a deserved win. Next week PSV O13-1 plays an away game. In Rotterdam the team will meet Sparta.
