A tough week with a trip to Moscow, and a good result there, lots of traffic jams and the visit to Red Square was an experience. At least for some members of the staff and I assume also for most of our players.
Today Feyenoord come to the Herdgang. Undefeated they are still. We do want to do something about that.
In the early stages Feyenoord are closest to a goal, but they don't score. After about twenty minutes we got the upper hand, but we were unable to find the net at the other end either, so we went into the locker room with the glasses down.
After the break we wanted to take the points but after ten minutes the number nine was able to enter our sixteen quite easily and he turned away from his opponent and scored the 0-1. That is a big disappointment. We would like to rectify this, but we are not able to create much danger in the rearguard of the opponent. After 95 minutes the referee whistles for the end and we stand with empty hands on the Herdgang. And so we see again that with a great bunch of players we are not yet able to impose our will on the opponents and what is perhaps even more important to score.
Next week we can quietly train on that because next weekend is free because of the international games that are planned.
Everything will be fine. And as has been said before: without valleys you have no peaks.
