The tension is rising. Two points separate us from the leader. Today to Rotterdam for the always tricky Sparta. The team really has no secrets because this was built up by our trainer so a breeze you would say. But that's just it. These guys want to show the former trainer that they can and want to step up. The first half and then in the first ten minutes shows a preponderance for PSV and we are close to scoring in a few standard situations like corners and free kicks. In the twelfth minute a flowing attack on the right is set up and the defender can do nothing more than pull the emergency brake and the ball goes on the spot. Then we always have Mo who takes this task and shoots the ball impeccably. Class Mo. The game ripples on and at halftime it is still 0 - 1. We know that the second half will be difficult because Sparta wants to equalize. Yet we manage to keep this score and that is a sign that the fighting spirit and motivation in the team is good. They want to fight for the ball and get a result. Once in a while someone has to be woken up because you can never win a duel with your arms hanging along your body. But it is a deserved victory that could have been even better in the last ten minutes if we had been smarter with the opportunities. But the three points are in the bus and together with the B1 we drive back to Eindhoven. The leaders also keep on winning so next week the KNVB will have to keep two trophies ready as it is still possible that they will stay behind in Eindhoven. So guys next week good luck and we are still in it. We are going for it.
And you know:
Success is not a coincidence but a choice.
Success comes when you do things you believe in.
Success starts where others stop and you persevere.
Success is getting up once more than you fell.
The essence of success is hard work.
Goodbye.
