PSV started the match well and this soon resulted in a goal. In the second minute a corner by Mohamed was headed in by Nigel, 0-1. After this quick opening goal, PSV had the best of the game. PSV had a lot of ball possession and Baronie was limited to defending. However, PSV hardly managed to create any chances in this phase of the match. In the 18th minute, PSV managed to extend the score further. After a messy situation in front of the Baronie goal, the ball was eventually turned into a corner. Again it was Mohamed who took the corner and again it was Nigel who headed the ball in, 0-2. Five minutes after this opening goal Baronie threatened for the first time. Robin reacted attentively and cleared the ball. In the 28th minute Baronie did score. A deep ball through the heart of the PSV defense was shot by a Baronie player, 1-2. This was also the score at halftime.

The home team started the second half strongly. From the kick-off the home team had an excellent opportunity to equalize. However, this opportunity was not taken. A few minutes later Baronie had another opportunity to score. This time the ball was tapped just wide of the goal. PSV then put its house in order and regained control of the game. This resulted in a good opportunity in the 48th minute. A free kick by Joost to Jeremy was laid wide by him to Genrich. Genrich shot just wide from the edge of the penalty area. The home club goalkeeper's goal kick then came back to Genrich. His cross was headed in by Jeremy, 1-3. With that, the game was played. In the last ten minutes of the match, PSV had several good opportunities to score. These opportunities were not taken. Baronie also had two more opportunities to score. After a counter by the home club, Peter intercepted the cross just before a Baronie player could shoot in. In the last minute, after an attack by the home team, the ball ended up at the feet of a Baronie player. He shot the ball just wide, making the final score 1-3.
