Defeat for O13 in The Hague
On a visit to ADO Den Haag, PSV O13 suffered a defeat. The Hofstadelingen turned out to be too strong in the end, 4-0. Although the Brabanders did not play well, the result was somewhat flattering.
In the first half, most of the ball possession was for the Eindhoveners. The team played the ball around patiently in the back, looking for space in The Hague's tight defense. In the final phase of the build-up, however, things went wrong, preventing PSV from becoming really dangerous. The first opportunity at the other end, however, was an immediate hit. The fast ADO striker received the ball thirty meters from goal, launched himself and slid the ball under PSV goalkeeper Daan van de Brande. Moments later, PSV seemed to equalize, but Jayden Ettienne's goal was disallowed for offside. As a result, both teams went to rest with a 1-0 score.
In the second half, things soon went wrong for PSV. After a free kick, the fast striker was able to head towards goal again, and again he did not fail. PSV pushed on and had a good chance to restore the tension through Brian van de Boogaard, but the ADO goalkeeper was in the right place to prevent the 2-1. Even when both teams were down to ten players - in two minutes both ADO and PSV were shown a red card - the Eindhoven players were unable to put the tying goal on the board. Indeed, the Hagenezen even countered in the last minutes of the match to 3-0 and 4-0.
An afternoon to quickly forget for PSV O13. Next week the team plays its first home match after the winter break, when FC Twente visits the Herdgang.
