    The report

Goal two of the season could be achieved on Saturday. After winning the Super Cup in August, we had the opportunity to qualify for the championship pool. To do so, however, we had to bring three points with us from Heerenveen.

And whether it was due to the long bus ride or the pressure to win, the game showed that both teams were struggling to cope. After eight minutes Djenario managed to put the ball in front of the goal after some good passing on the left and there it was a Heerenveen defender who gave his own goalkeeper the lead. Still a deserved lead based on the ball possession at that moment, but there was not really any good football. After twenty minutes Heerenveen hit the post out of reach of Aron. Five minutes later Heerenveen's midfielder ran through our lines and managed to equalize with a distance shot. There were a few more chances, but no more were scored before halftime.

After halftime, the game did not get better. It was messy from both sides. The final pass was usually not correct or too soft and when it did arrive, the takeover was not optimal. So the game was heading towards the end and it seemed that both teams had to settle for a point. But Noni thought differently: two minutes before the end a good action on the right side by Jasper put Noni in possession of the ball and he shot the well-deserved 1-2.

Thus, the team most deserving of the three points got them. A place among the top eight teams is now assured. After a deserved hot shower and a stopover in Heerde we arrived back in Eindhoven around 8 p.m. for a well-deserved weekend for everyone.

    Until next week.
