    The report

Today, Saturday, September 1, was the first league match scheduled for the boys of PSV O19. This match was played at sc Heerenveen .

From the first minute, it was PSV that put Heerenveen under pressure, adding that the home team let PSV make the play and wanted to hurt PSV via quick counters.

The first real chance was also an immediate hit for PSV. A Gregory Kuisch cross from the right in the 17th minute was not handled well by the Heerenveen goalkeeper. The ball ended up at the feet of Nigel Thomas, who did not hesitate and shot the 0-1 on the scoreboard. Two minutes later Heerenveen's goalkeeper saved a long-distance shot by Mohammed Ihattaren. The home team had another good opportunity in the 21st minute for the equalizer, but this chance was well caught by Kyan van Dorp. A long ball to Yorbe Vertessen from Ihattaren fell behind the Frisian defense, eye to eye with the goalkeeper the PSV striker failed to shoot in with Thomas to make it 0-2. In the 20 minutes that followed, PSV had quite a few opportunities. Only the ball just did not fall between the two posts. And so we went to rest with a deserved 0-1 lead.

In the second half, the first chance was for the home team. A shot from distance landed on the top of the crossbar. After this, PSV took control again. A nice cross from Ihattaren to Thomas in the 59th minute resulted in a good save from the Heerenveen goalkeeper. In the 62nd minute Thomas was put down by the goalkeeper, the rightly awarded penalty, was well shot in by Sekou Sidibe. After this 0-2, PSV played the game out well. Heerenveen was not strong enough to make a real game out of it. In the 90th minute Vertessen even saw Damian Timan standing free on the back line. He did not let this opportunity pass him by and shot the 0-3. Thus Ruud van Nistelrooij's team earned its first three important points.

The next match is due to the interand week on Saturday, Sept. 15, at home against N.E.C./FC Oss O19, at 2 p.m.
