Victory for PSV O14 against FC Utrecht
After a good preparation, on Saturday the league started for PSV O 14. Good results were achieved in friendly matches. And good football was played against renowned opponents such as Bayern Munich, Feyenoord and Club Brugge. So they were looking forward to the start of the league. So trainers Vincent Heilmann and Joonas Kolkka were hopeful. But it turned out to be a different match than expected, the good football PSV had shown in the preparation was only visible for a few moments Saturday. Otherwise, the match had everything a match needs. Lots of fight and passion, nice goals and two opponents who wanted to win at any cost. PSV prevailed and managed to keep the three points in Eindhoven.
FC Utrecht started the match very brightly, so it was not surprising that the first chances were for the guests. But newcomer Bart Hamers showed why PSV got him as their goalkeeper. He kept his goal clean during Utrecht's chances. After about ten minutes PSV got more grip on the game, which resulted in a goal for PSV in the 11thminute . It was Emir Bars who managed to put the ball well behind the Utrecht defense. Jason van Duiven had already shown in the preparation that he has a lot of speed, now he was also faster than all his opponents. In the one-on-one situation that arose, the new PSV striker remained cow, and worked the ball into the net in a controlled manner. After this, the game went up and down, but neither team got much further than the sixteen-meter areas. This allowed PSV to go into the locker room with a lead and the trainers to update the tactical plan.
In the second half it quickly became clear that Utrecht was not going to resign itself to defeat. Immediately there was a fierce shot at the PSV goal, but the ball went just wide. A few minutes later Utrecht managed to equalize from a scramble. But while Utrecht was still enjoying the moment, PSV took the lead again, Jason took a high ball perfectly and put it back in front of Isaac Babadi and this newcomer to PSV managed to work the ball into the crossbar with a hard, clean kick. So the newcomers were important for PSV today. Now there were some chances for PSV, but a header by Tim van de heuvel was for the goalkeeper, and a kick by Emir splattered on the crossbar. But Utrecht also got a few chances. Then in the 60th minute Utrecht equalized again, sloppy ball loss by the PSV defense preceded it. In the 67th minute PSV got a penalty kick, Jason had missed the last penalty he took, yet he was full of confidence and got behind the ball. Perfectly he managed to shoot this ball back in. Thus PSV secured the win. Next week an away game to Amsterdam where Ajax O14 is the opponent....
