Marco van Ginkel appeared at kickoff with the captain's armband on his arm. The midfielder is happy to show himself again and enjoyed the match. He reacts to the win and looks ahead to the coming weeks.
Strength
Van Ginkel played a fine match, in which PSV managed to win easily. "I'm happy to be there again, but it wasn't hard for me to get back into the rhythm. You have to stay fit, even if you don't play. Now I feel very good," the captain said. "We showed our strength in the last few games. We are in a good flow as a team now and that is very nice in this tough phase."
Important phase
PSV's lineup had changed on many fronts and the fresh forces showed well. Van Ginkel is proud of what the team showed, "Every day we are busy performing as a team, then you want to win and show yourself. This match gives us a good feeling, especially towards the coming weeks. We have very important matches coming up and we have a lot of fit players who can make the difference."
Prizes
PSV is still playing for three prizes and Van Ginkel hopes to grab as many as possible: "Our focus is now on the game against Leicester City, followed by the cup final which we also want to win. We are very much looking forward to it. In the end you want to win as many prizes as possible, that's what you do it for in your career."
