A crucial week awaits PSV. The team gave itself extra motivation by winning against RKC Waalwijk. Roger Schmidt is satisfied with what he saw.
Battle plan
PSV's lineup had changed in six places. Some players were rested and others were given the chance to build up rhythm. Schmidt is very pleased with how the team handled it. "It always seems easy, but you have to have the right attitude and execute the plan well," Schmidt said. "I have a lot of appreciation for how it went today. The players who played less in recent weeks showed well today. I'm happy with the performance the team put in."
Teze
The 2-0 was shot into the ropes by Jordan Teze. With that, the homegrown right back scored his first goal in PSV's main squad. Schmidt complimented his performance, "He did well, especially with the goal. It was not an easy goal to score. His running action was good and so was the finishing. Vinícius also gave a clever ball to put him in position. Teze is a versatile player to have on the team. He does well centrally in defense and today he showed excellently as a right back."
