UEFA has imposed a €25,000 fine and a two-year suspended penalty on PSV for the disturbances in the away box during RC Lens - PSV. A subsequent offense will require the away box to remain empty in a subsequent European game.

During the away match in Lens, fireworks were set off from the away box, objects were thrown and damage was caused to the home club's stadium. PSV must, in addition to the fine imposed, compensate the damage. The club is investigating whether it can recover the fine and compensation from the perpetrators, among whom seven stadium bans have already been handed out.

Managing Director Marcel Brands is disappointed that PSV is once again the victim of behavior by a small section of its own supporters. "If you care about the club, you don't do this. You not only harm the club, but also your fellow supporters. I hope everyone realizes by now the consequences of such actions."
